Anything that interests you, you can choose from over 90 degrees. And for me, I'm in elementary education. So I want to be a teacher. In general, students really love the faculty here. They find that they can easily connect to them, and build relationships with them to help them succeed in their career path.
The faculty here, they really care about you. They really want you to succeed and they go above and beyond to make sure that you're successful during your journey at CSU. My grades were slipping in one class and the professor emailed me individually and was like, "What can I do to help you? Or what kind of study materials do you need in order to be successful?" So this was helpful for me because I finished the class with an A. My foundation has been built here at CSU because even as a freshman, I feel like I can apply for jobs more confidently and be able to articulate in their interview just as much as I would if I was a senior.
I always knew that I wanted to be a psychology major. And so with taking a couple classes, speaking with professors that I now see as mentors, they kind of guided me into knowing that I want to be a clinical psychologist, and they've helped me to see my future steps and what I want to do.
We have tons of different student services that you can use. We have our library, where tutoring is. We have our Student Health Clinic. We have our Career Center, so if you have to prep for job interviews, you can also go there. We also have our Student Counseling Center, so they are great for if you just need somebody to talk to if things get stressful.
At CSU, everyone is always welcome in the Writing and Tutoring Center. Even if you were a straight A student, you can still come in and get help on things that you don't understand or that you just want to improve on.
