When it came to being able to cater my own experience and find that perspective for myself, it was really really easy because it while it was true that there were a lot of selected courses I had to take for my major, there was also tons of room for electives, to broaden my horizons, not only in the theater department but in other departments as well. And, being a part of the Honors College opened up a lot of opportunities to me both scholarship and educational.

Honors College does provide that one-on-one professors with the honors versions of the classes. You also have an Honors Advisor along with your regular advisor so you have kind of like two people to help you navigate through your college career.

CSU has allowed me to create my perspective through being in the nursing program, being in servant-leadership program, and even studying abroad and experiencing other cultures and ways that I could serve in foreign countries. The most meaningful service that I have partaken in has been at "Feeding the Valley" where I address food insecurity for children in the community.

We have plenty of great opportunities to do community service work here at Columbus State. Servant-leadership is a great, perfect opportunity for it. I've been part of servant-leadership, my entire college career.

So many different majors at CSU have study abroad trips -- art, theater, biology, chemistry-- like nearly every department has a study abroad trip. So I got to be a part of the study abroad trip for Theater in London and at Oxford and stay at the Oxford House that CSU has there. Learn about Shakespeare in the classics, things that I really, really love.

And since it is so well-funded, they have tons of scholarship opportunities and grants opportunities and things like that. And you can really tailor your experience whether it's two weeks, a month, or a full semester abroad. You can really find your niche in a program that they offer.
